The Thalassemia eradication program is one of the signature projects of the Rotaract club of Kandy. This year we conducted the program in three phases.
The Second phase, “Thalassemia workshop and blood testing” was held on the 14th of December 2019. The main objective of the project was to educate the club members on Thalassemia so that each one of us could spread awareness and eradicate Thalassemia from the society. Later on the members underwent a blood test as well.
We would like to extend our gratitude to the Thalassemia eradication unit of the Kandy General Hospital and especially Dr. Vishaka for the support rendered to us as well as the society, in order to prevent this disease in the future.
