This is one of the annual Community service projects carried out by the Rotaract Club of Kandy with the aim of celebrating the spirit of Christmas with the needy. Dry rations needed for the Christmas day lunch was donated by us to the Daya Niwasa which is a center for differently abled children and elders, situated in Kandy. This year this project was carried out on the 24th of December 2019 with the generous donations and sponsorship from Rtn. John Baskaran and family as well as our club members. On the day of the donation, our members went to visit the Daya Niwasa with the dry rations and donated them to the officials at this orphanage. After the donation we spent some time with the children and also the elders there by talking with them and helped to make them happy. The management and the officials at Daya Niwasa were very enthusiastic and thankful for us, for helping to bring the Christmas joy to these children and elders. We as responsible youth also felt the same that we should help everyone in need irrespective of all boundaries that we are tied onto due to various differences, because after all we all are humans and need to help each other.
