The annual DRR visit took place on the 26th of May 2019 at Coco’s Place, Colombo. During the visit, the DRR and his Secretary met with the fellow Rotaractors who brought them up to speed regarding the on-goings of their respective clubs. Rotaract Inter-Faith Ifthar

The Rotaract Inter-Faith Ifthar 2019 hosted by the Rotaract Clubs of Kandy, Colombo Midtown, Colombo North, Colombo Fort, Colombo West, AOD, Cinnamon Gardens, Wattala, Singer Sri Lanka, IIT, ACBT and was held in the private residence of DRR Amjid Yoosuf. The event which was graced by Rotaractors hailing from different ethnic and religious backgrounds was significant in that it provided us with the opportunity to bond with our Islamic brothers

What Happens Next

The objective of the project is to give the members of the Rotaract club of Kandy a brief idea on the procedures and steps that are taken after blood has been donated by a donor to the blood bank. The project was conducted right after the annual blood donation which was conducted on the 27th of April 2019. The project was executed in the blood bank of Peradeniya teaching hospital.

Friendship Beyond the Sea

Multi Religious Offering

This annual project conducted in commemoration of the charter celebrations is a manifestation of the true spirit our club’s service which cuts across caste, creed, religion and ethnicity. We kicked started the programme at the Temple of the Tooth at 5.50 a.m. by taking part in the Kiri Ahara Pujawa. This was followed by a visit to the Katharagama Devala where we made an offering of a basket of fruits.
