This annual project conducted in commemoration of the charter celebrations is a manifestation of the true spirit our club’s service which cuts across caste, creed, religion and ethnicity.
We kicked started the programme at the Temple of the Tooth at 5.50 a.m. by taking part in the Kiri Ahara Pujawa. This was followed by a visit to the Katharagama Devala where we made an offering of a basket of fruits. Next, we got ourselves blessed by the Moulavi of the Meeramakkam Mosque. We then visited the St. Paul’s Church Kandy and got ourselves blessed by Rev. Fr. Shelton Daniel who was also open to a Q&A session on matters pertaining to religion.
In addition to obtaining the blessing of the four main religions practiced in the country, this project gave the opportunity for non-believers to gain some insight into other religions.
