Children are the greatest asset of a nation and if is our responsibility to ensure them a better future. They are the seeds of our giant tree who will take up the world in a few years. Therefore Children’s day is recognized by many countries around the world to honor Children globally.
This day is not unique to all countries as every county has their own recognized day. In Sri Lanka, we celebrate on 01st Of October. It was established to encourage all countries to institute a day to promote mutual understanding among children and the states to initiate action in order to benefit and promote the welfare of the world’s Children.
Rotaract Club of Kandy initiated the project ‘Mini Superheroes’ to celebrate the Children’s Day with joy and color, bringing happiness and fun time to the kids in these anxious pandemic situation stuck at home.
The main and the fundamental objective of the webinar on mini super heroes was to color their faces during these unprecedented, harsh times, where people are mostly bound to the limits of their homes and therefore to enjoy the freedom at least for a few moments.
