‘Hope is being able to see that there is light despite all of the darkness’ says Desmond Tutu. Many of our own Sri Lankans are going through difficult times due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Taking a single step even to reach and help them in way possible will immensely aid in overcoming this battle.
Project ‘Hope’ carried out by the Rotaract Club of Kandy was implemented with the sole motive of aiding our fellow Sri Lankans and let the health officials know that they are not alone in this battle and that we can conquer this together as one. The main goal of this project was to lend a hand to the health sector in fighting this battle against Covid19. With the Covid19 patients and health staff treating them becoming overwhelmed day by day, Project Hope was carried out to help them to overcome the pandemic situation. Moreover, the project was planned to give them HOPE that we are through this together. Medical equipment such as pulse oxi meters and PPE Kits.
As it is clearly proven throughout the history, ‘Unity is Strength’, we, as people can overcome challenges easily and quickly if only we help each other out. Taking on in the venture of defeating the Covid 19 Virus, we hope that the equipment donated by us to the National Hospital (Teaching) Kandy, will support the staff in treating the covid patients.
