A career is important for any individual. Regardless of the field, they work in, finding a suitable career, focusing on career growth, and thriving to build the career are things everyone is interested in doing.
However, despite this common interest in finding a career that suits one’s needs, many people fail to find their ideal job due to reasons like not knowing how to face an interview properly, not being aware of how to write a compelling CV that stands out and not maintaining a professional portfolio.
As young generations of society, we understand the importance of building a career at an early stage, and that is precisely why the Rotaract Club of Kandy organized the project “Career Track” under the professional development avenue. It was an online awareness session conducted on the 13th of August 2022, by the resource person Ms. Chanukah Gunawardana, Talent Acquisition Unit Manager at Dialog Axiata PLC.
The main objective of this session was to educate the audience on how to build a compelling CV, how to face an interview confidently, and how to maintain and manage a LinkedIn profile to get hired by the best companies. Moreover, the platform was a great opportunity for people to raise questions and get their doubts clarified. Over 50+ people participated in the project to improve their knowledge of growing their careers.
The session was highly successful since it was very interactive and much positive feedback was received at the conclusion.
