The Rotaract Clubs of Kandy and the Rotaract Club of Informatics Institute of Technology were able to host a group of Hong Kong Rotaractors on 5th – 6th January 2019.
The foreign group arrived in Kandy on the evening of the 5th of January 2019. The day after their arrival the members of Rotaract club of Kandy was able to guide them through the world heritage city. They were taken to the “Temple of the tooth relic” in the morning. After spending a considerable time on the holy premises, we set out on our next great adventure: “The Hike to Hanthana”.
The climb was definitely not easy. Yet, it was worth it! We were able to experience the mesmerizing view of the city, the long stretch of mountains and the splendid sunset. Overall, we were able to build a strong friendship among the three clubs, while creating long lasting memories.
After dinner, the Rotaractors from Hong Kong and IIT, left to Colombo at around 10pm.
We, as the Rotaract club of Kandy were grateful for the opportunity, since it enhanced our knowledge and helped build connections, surpassing many borders.
