Books play a very important role in our lives therefore the Rotaract Club of Kandy decided to give a helping hand by donating 350 books to Dharmashoka M/V school library to play a part in bringing up the joy of reading on the 28th of September 2018. The project was carried out by spending time in school with the students. The project was chaired by Rtr.Rasika Baskran.
Upon a request made by the Sister Rose Agness, the Sister in charge of the Daya Niwasa Orphanage about an urgent necessity of baby clothes, sanitary items and dry rations for the orphanage. The Daya Niwasa Orphanage is a home for many babies and children at the age of 1-5 who doesn’t have their parents or any other relations. These children are disabled and differently abled. The Rotaract Club of Kandy is one of the oldest and most prestigious clubs in the RI District 3220. The club was chartered on the 16th of April 1986, holding a proud history.
